This is my third pair of these fins (yes, I wear them out). They do hold up very well, I just swim 5 – 6 days a week, and use them for about 1/2 of each workout. I don’t recall the last time I bought them, but I would say they lasted at least a year, probably more! In fact, I’m still using the old ones (that have a small hole in the toe) for open water swimming.

These fins are so lightweight you can pack them into your suitcase with very little problem and additional weight.

I swim in Seattle and noticed a lot of people using these fins the past few years. After testing them out I finally decided to get my own pair, figuring these would not only be great during practice, but for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. The fins are incredibly lightweight and flexible, and I definitely prefer these over Zoomers or regular fins. I barely notice they’re in my gear bag, unlike the Makapuus that my boyfriend lugs around. I wear a women’s size 8 and was torn between ordering an XS or S, but decided to get the Small. I was worried that they would be too big, but they fit just fine. I guess the XS probably would have been too snug, especially since these are close toed unlike other fins or Zoomers. I feel like the Aqua Sphere is shaped to correct your kick, but you can also get moving pretty quickly with them. They’re great for kick sets, your legs will be more buoyant swimming with them. I used them for snorkeling and found that they aren’t as propulsive as regular fins but I mostly swam around instead anyway. Overall, this is a good fin for beginner swimmers to much higher skill levels, and I definitely recommend them. The only dilemma is deciding which size to order if you’re in between.

I’m a lap swimmer who always used Zoomers, but after my car (with all my gear in the trunk) was stolen, I had to get new gear – which was more work than getting a new car. These fins are positively bouyant, so if you like a little help getting horizontal, they will help streamline. They are SO comfortable and much softer than Zoomers. Love them!
