Customer Reviews

Commercial Quality with just a couple of CONS

I purchased the Assault Bike about a month ago – I wanted to try for 30 days before I wrote a review. This review is divided into three sections: Pros, Cons, and Assembly tips.

The Real Thing!

To give a little perspective to my review here is a short introduction to why I bought the Assault Air Bike. I am a bike fanatic and love riding my mountain bike, usually a few times a week. The great thing about a mountain bike is that it exercises your upper body as well as lower body (unlike a road bike). I have a top end spinning bike but never liked it much. In the vacation cabin we visit every winter the owners have a very old Schwinn Airdyne Pro in the basement. I always thought it just looked like a low tech waste of time. This year I hopped on and WOW I was in love! It was a full body exercise like an eliptical machine, but I was riding a bike and it didn’t hurt my back the way elipticals do for me.

Love The Bike! WORTH. EVERY. PENNY!!!

This is a great bike for working out. I have bad knees and so am limited in the types of exercise I can safely do. Swimming is OK once per week, but the chlorine gets to me and I don’t like doing it more than that. Rowing is OK but it doesn’t give me much of a lower body workout. The fancy electronic stationary bikes at the gym are fine for legs, but it is a waste of time for the upper body. Elliptical machines give a nice full body workout, but my knees won’t tolerate much of that. Resistance training is also good but only once or twice per week. Pilates, Yoga and stretching are great exercises and have their place but they don’t fill the need for cardio. Walking, Running, and Stair steppers are absolutely out of the question for me. So, my personal favorite form of exercise is the Dual-Action Stationary Bike for a well rounded workout that gets my heart pumping, uses all of my limbs, and puts absolutely no pressure on my knees.

Very good quality build & sturdy

Very good quality build & sturdy. The assembly was very easy – there was a video to follow step by step. It took about 30 or 45 minutes. The work out on this thing is EXCELLENT – works legs, arms, back & core. I got it to do high intensity interval training, but I get a great work out from just 20 minutes. The inherent design means faster you go the harder it gets, so its easy to get a good work out regardless of fitness. The movement is also very smooth – no impact on joints. I have been working out and trying things for many years, and for a great work out in 20 minutes this is the best I have found it!!!

Worth every penny!

I like to bodybuild, for fun not for sport, and although I hate cardio I know I need it. I spent weeks mulling over & researching similar bikes, deciding to go with this one after seeing so many positive reviews. It took ~30 minutes to assemble this bike and I knew immediately that it was worth every penny. (it took me longer to get all of the styrofoam to the dumpster than it did to assemble the bike)

Awesome

Best purchase I have ever made. Probably the worst piece of exercise equipment ever created. Just got done doing sprints on it and I am dead in less than ten minutes. Not many excuses you can make for not setting aside a quick ten minutes. If your someone like me who struggles with sticking to a routine get this and start everyday with motivational videos on YouTube. Don’t commit to working out everyday but commit to watching or listening to motivational content everyday and chances are you’ll work out as a result. (Or get other important things you need to do done)

Worth the price for interval cardio training

I bought this Airbike after comparing with Schwinn and another brand. I chose this after looking at Assault Fitness’ latest model that is like $2000. I bought this while considering what kind of cardio that I like to do at an actual gym as well as cross fit gym. This air bike helped me get trained up towards end of the Winter for Spring bicycle excursion that are like 30 miles long. It’s a good cardio machine that works arms and legs at the same time. I can do about 5 minutes on it and rest and do interval workout that are 15 minutes long, and three times a day. Still, I am using an apple AirPods for music to not get bored while doing cardio.
