Commercial Quality with just a couple of CONS

I purchased the Assault Bike about a month ago – I wanted to try for 30 days before I wrote a review. This review is divided into three sections: Pros, Cons, and Assembly tips. PROS: Commercial quality. Well-made and thus far durable. Heavy gauge steel where required. It’s heavy. Simple to use display that can be programed/customized for your workout. Just bike, time, distance, intervals, etc. It even has a small shelf built in for an IPad, Kindle, or Phone. Yes, it will give you a workout like you read about. The harder you peddle or row, the harder it gets. You can put your feet up on the pegs and only use your arms. Would I buy it again? Absolutely!!! CONS: Since it is either commercial quality or nearly so, the most comfortable seat position (up & down) may challenging to achieve. The distance between the seat adjustment settings is about an inch. So, if you’re used to a mountain/road bike seat post, you may not get the position you are completely comfortable with. The seat does forward and backward like a normal bicycle. No place for a water bottle attachment unless you have a back-of-the-seat bottle attachment from a road bike. No air damper capability like a Concept 2 rower.

Worth every penny!

I like to bodybuild, for fun not for sport, and although I hate cardio I know I need it. I spent weeks mulling over & researching similar bikes, deciding to go with this one after seeing so many positive reviews. It took ~30 minutes to assemble this bike and I knew immediately that it was worth every penny. (it took me longer to get all of the styrofoam to the dumpster than it did to assemble the bike) It’s very solid and surprisingly easy to move with the front wheels, considering it is 100+ pounds of weight. It takes up very little room in my 1200 square foot apartment, which is really important. The health benefits are outstanding. I feel every major muscle group being engaged when riding — most notably quads, calves, delts, lats, obliques & pecs. Being an asthmatic, it has also assisted in improving my ability to breathe. My core is constantly super tight after daily 15-minute, 20mph sessions. I’m thoroughly impressed with this beautiful piece of machinery.

Love The Bike! WORTH. EVERY. PENNY!!!

This is a great bike for working out. I have bad knees and so am limited in the types of exercise I can safely do. Swimming is OK once per week, but the chlorine gets to me and I don’t like doing it more than that. Rowing is OK but it doesn’t give me much of a lower body workout. The fancy electronic stationary bikes at the gym are fine for legs, but it is a waste of time for the upper body. Elliptical machines give a nice full body workout, but my knees won’t tolerate much of that. Resistance training is also good but only once or twice per week. Pilates, Yoga and stretching are great exercises and have their place but they don’t fill the need for cardio. Walking, Running, and Stair steppers are absolutely out of the question for me. So, my personal favorite form of exercise is the Dual-Action Stationary Bike for a well rounded workout that gets my heart pumping, uses all of my limbs, and puts absolutely no pressure on my knees. For 30 years, I have enjoyed an old time Schwinn Airdyne Comp which served me well. It has preserved my health by keeping my handicap from making me hopelessly sedentary.

Very good quality build & sturdy. The assembly was very easy – there was a video to follow step by step. It took about 30 or 45 minutes. The work out on this thing is EXCELLENT – works legs, arms, back & core. I got it to do high intensity interval training, but I get a great work out from just 20 minutes. The inherent design means faster you go the harder it gets, so its easy to get a good work out regardless of fitness. The movement is also very smooth – no impact on joints. I have been working out and trying things for many years, and for a great work out in 20 minutes this is the best I have found it!!!

I recommend this bike because it is very sturdy

I recommend this bike because it is very sturdy. And if you are a big guy or big woman. You can ride this bike and rest assured. That it will hold you stable without fear of collapsing or falling. I am round 385 390 . It holds me without me wobbling. Good luck
