Body Beast is one of the first all-encompassing workout, performance diet, and supplement systems, created to build a large, muscular physique as quickly as possible. When used properly, it's capable of adding ten pounds of lean muscle in 90 days. Body Beast is built on the concept of Dynamic Set Training, a specific sequence of sets and reps which maximizes the muscle's time under tension with the goal of exhausting the muscle and "recruiting" more muscle fiber. Dynamic Set Training is also designed to help enhance your body's own testosterone production. Testosterone is the primary hormone responsible for developing muscle mass, so the more testosterone the body makes, the faster it grows.

After a year of doing the program…

I’ve read many reviews of body beast and most review the product after just a few days or weeks. All reviews also focus on the weight lifting aspect. I’ve been following the program for over a year now, and my review will focus on the nutrition aspect and results overall long term. I am 44, female and probably in the best shape of my life. I do not work for BeachBody. I just believe that working out should be a part of my everyday routine. As we age, male or female, we will lose muscle mass. So I lift weights as a way to combat this loss and perhaps build muscle. It is not easy to build muscle but if you don’t eat right it’s even harder. I started my BeachBody journey last year, in Jan ’16. I purchased the 21 day fix. I lost 13 lbs, going from 158 to 145. I am 5’9″. I did that by following the program 3 times (9 weeks total), religiously following both the diet and the exercise routine. The meal plan was difficult to follow, especially the 2nd week. I wanted to eat like nobody’s business, and I wished the stupid colored boxed were 8 times bigger. But I got used to it. So when I started the Beast, I had stabilized at 145. My last three weeks of 21 day fix brought no change in weight.
Althought this program changed my life, I think you need to do at least 3 cycles of this workout to get extreme results.

This is a great program, but, I don’t think a single 90 day cycle will deliver extreme results. If you follow the eating plan and take all of the supplements and work out 6 days a week- it promises amazing results. I do 4 to 5 workouts a week and do take supplements after. I haven’t done the eating plan- but who really does? All of the guys on the DVDs have spent at least 10 years getting their bodies to look the way they do. There is absolutely no way a non-seasoned body builder or even a seasoned body builder will look that good in 90 days unless they are a professional. So get that image out of your head. You’re not going to look like Sagi after 90 days. I don’t know if most people can do 6 days a week and give maximum effort. The program is really challenging when you do it right, so you would probably burn out after a month of 6 days a week. What you can expect after 90 days: You will be stronger, more solid and better conditioned. Your cardio will improve because you’re flying through the workouts with very little rest. You’re going to have to learn proper form on your own because the system doesn’t teach it to you. I think after the first cycle you’ll figure out the moves and develop good form.
Incredible Results After Only 3 Weeks, Can’t Wait to see Results After 12 Weeks.

This program is amazing. I am a 20-year-old female. Before starting this program I weighed around 117 pounds at 5 ft 2 inches with 25 percent body fat. I have been following Sagi and this program for about three weeks now and I have to say I see incredible results. I am an active person. I stand all day at my job and I am a college student who walks all over campus. I decided to follow the lean beast program and the ripped diet plan. I based my caloric intake on the light activity option. Like I said, I’ve only been on the program for three weeks and already I see results. My arms look well defined, and I no longer have hanging, flappy skin on my arms. I also have less bloat and a slender more defined core. My thighs and legs have always been my problem area, but already I notice they are becoming stronger and my legs look less fat. If you’re a female, like me, don’t be afraid to lift heavy. I promise that you won’t become bulky. Instead, you’ll obtain a lean shapely body that looks toned and fit. I have to, however, express the importance of Sagi’s diet plan. You have to follow the diet plan through and through while on this program.

First, a disclaimer: I have no interest, financial or otherwise, in any equipment I recommend, and I have purchased thru Amazon, with the exception of the Powerblocks, all of the products mentioned. As to equipment needed to successfully complete this program, here are a few alternatives to consider. For the beginner, in lieu of a heavy investment in dumbells, first consider a set of Bodylastics exercise bands, and simply improvise the moves. Condition your muscles, tendons, and ligaments first by using bands. If you’re used to lifting weights, utilize your dumbells. As to the dumbells, the best purchase I ever made was a set of Powerblocks, also sold on Amazon. Convenient, cost effective, and space saving. Each dumbell no larger than a shoe box. As good as it gets. Instead of a bench I use a bosu ball. Pricey, but in my opinion, the safest alternative. Plus, aside from the Body Beast program, the bosu ball has its own chart of balance and coordination routines. As to the Body Beast program itself, I’ll leave that review to others, other than to add: Have realistic expectations. Who wants to look like Sagi, anyway?
Who knew I’d like lifting weights?

Love this workout and lifting weights. I feel fitter and stronger than I ever have (am 40+). Ladies, don’t be afraid that you’ll bulk up- you won’t. If you want a no-nonsense way to get fit, this is it. Each workout is 30 to 40 minutes- long enough to be engaged, but not too long so as to burn you out. I’m not coordinated enough to do the dance-type, bouncy workouts, so this one spoke to me and I really like it. I bought a basic bench, an EZ bar, and some plates and was good to go as I already had a few sets of dumbbells. While you can just use dumbbells and an exercise ball for all the workouts, I think I’m getting more out of them by using the recommended equipment.

I’ve only gone through the first 2 DVDs but I really like this program and I’m glad I hadn’t read some reviews on line before I made the purchase (because I may not have purchased this). The biggest complaint I’ve heard online is that the program is saying that you can build your muscles/look a certain way in 60 days and that isn’t true. I didn’t buy this thinking that I would be transformed in 60 days so this didn’t bother me. I was looking for a program that focused on weight lifting at a good pace to build my muscles that I could feel successful at doing and this DVD did this for me. I have been working with personal trainers for a few months now and only on rare occasions have a felt that good soreness the next day so I didn’t feel I was doing enough. I felt sore after doing these workouts and I also felt successful in completing each workout. Each day you target a muscle group to work on and the sessions are about 40-60 minutes each. I feel like I have seen a lot of gains in my upper body strength in particular. I have worked out with weights so I was familiar with many of the exercises but would pause the DVD and use low/no weights for exercises that were new to me.

I’ve never been one for hitting the weights, so this program wasn’t my first choice to get back into shape. I had almost completed a round of JMBR (with very little to show for it) and planned to start a P90X/running hybrid. Well, life had other plans and I tore my ACL two days before I was supposed to start. Needless to say, PlyoX, KenpoX, and any lower body resistance workouts were not happening. I compared various exercise programs and settled on Body Beast because there was only one leg day and would therefore require the least modification. As I couldn’t do the Cardio, Total Body, or Legs videos, I followed the Huge schedule. Cardio and Total Body are only done once each in the first phase and not at all in the second. For the first two phases, I took those days as an additional rest day or did gentle yoga. For the final phase, when cardio is added in more frequently, I subbed in the other workouts and was careful not to work any body part two days in a row. I also bought the Tempo DVDs for more variety. I followed the P90X diet plan (high protein, limited carbs) rather than the one in the book. I did not purchase any Beachbody supplements.
Great for females too

Love this workout. If you are like me and do not like an hour of jumping around, this is the workout for you. Yes, Sagi is a bit of a meathead who speaks in the 3rd person but he is easy on the eyes 🙂 You can do this routine with limited equipment. It is like having a personal trainer in your home. Each video is about 40 minutes and the routine has good timing ..not too fast so you can catch your breath. I’m a female and started this training with 3, 5, 8, 10 and 15 lb weights with a resistance band set sold on Amazon (CLAD resistance band set) and a balance ball. Getting ready for a bathing suit!
