Love It !!!
Just got the bench today. See pics. So, from the time I cut the straps on the box to complete finish it took me 2hrs exactly. I used, 1 17mm socket, 1 17mm wrench, 1 14mm wrench and 1 13mm wrench. There was 2 bolts missing and 2 extra, but I happen to have the exact size bolts that was missing in the package. A 6ft bar does fit perfect, and I have 1″ hole plates. I did load 3 50lb plates on front, leg extension peg for total of 150lbs. Could of held more I’d say. The bench, on my 6ft bar I loaded 6 50lb plates, plus my bar weighs 17lbs for a total of 317lbs, again, could of held more I’d say. And see pics.
Very good product. Better than expected!
Very good product. I was a little afraid of it being not so good in terms of material and workmanship, but I was proved wrong. Some folks complained about assembly instructions but they are very easy. With a little help from my son (which I didn’t really need), I was able to assemble the bench in a little less than two hours. The parts were all there and they fit very well too so no issues in assembling. The tools provided are clearly not going to work so you do need a couple of tools (spanners only) and I have included pictures. The only reason I give 4 stars is because there’s not enough spacing between the different parts. For example, if you are doing leg lifts, you may have to remove another part to have the right amount of room. You certainly need a 6 foot bar for bench press. You need about 8’x8′ space in order to have enough room to use this bench.
Great Bench Press for tall people
To answer all the important questions:
Decent first bench, didnt take long to build maybe two hours. I am a tall person (6’6″) so I was skeptical but it fits alright for me. The leg extension is the only thing I cant get a decent position on. If you need a bench to hold olympic weights this will work ok. The adapter for the leg extension slides off easy and is not fixed to the smaller diameter weight holders. The holders in the sides of the bench are about 1″ in diameter (smaller than the bore of an olympic plate) but are holding 35/25/10 just fine. I am happy with this bench.
Good enough, but there is a room for improvements
Good machine overall, and I like it. It is solid built, especially for the price.
Solid and stable
Overall I enjoy the bench. The only complaint would be to make the small weight storage bars a little stronger. One has already bent. Better to use smaller weights and don’t put much weight on them. The bench is stable and moves very little. Good product for home and for beginners.
Great buy, can make it work
This bench is sturdy, yet light weight. I was able to get it in my basement and assembled without any help. Assembly was pretty straight forward, and everything arrived in working order.
Well made and very adjustable to suit your routine.
The only bad thing I could say about this bench is the poor condition the manufacturers box was in. It had obviously been dropped prior to packaging for shipment. A few of the pieces were bent and had to be straitened out before I could assemble the bench. This was due to the fall damage I am sure. As for the bench itself I give it an A+. I have owned several in the past and this one out shines them all. The curl attachments are wonderful. It is completely adjustable to suit your height and size. Before you open the box get TWO 17mm and TWO 14mm wrenches or ratchet and sockets. This will make things much easier. It does come with a multi tool to use if you feel inclined to use it. From the time I cut the box open to me standing back and admiring the bench in completion was bout 45 minutes. The instruction are very clear and easy to follow. Its quite sturdy well made. I honestly did not expect this high of quality for the $169 price tag. If you want something for home use, I recommend this highly.
