Many uses and quite sturdy.
I chose this particular tower because the front feet were out in front of the pull up bar…my thought was added stability. The product was simple and easy to assemble, which I did by myself. Although I have it on carpet, it feels very sturdy and has many different uses. At this time I am unable to do pull ups, however my partner and I put bands around the pull up bar and we pull down on opposite sides at the same time-works great! My reason for only 4 stars is that the back pad is crooked (with the predrilled holes, so no way to adjust) and it offends my analness on such things.
This is a really great value Power Tower option
You definitely get what you paid for, and I got exactly what I paid for. It’s inexpensive, and a great value. I’m sorry but it’s barely a 6 month gym membership for what is about a half-body workout tool.
Definitely suggest this model
I am so very pleased with this purchase. The packing was phenomenal. It left no room for any damage. It was professionally packed. It almost took me longer to unpack it then it did to assemble. I am a 50-year-old single woman, and I put this together all by myself in approximately two hours. So that should show you that you can do it it’s very easy. The instructions were great, the way they labeled the nuts bolts screws and washers, made it fool proof. It’s very sturdy and I’m very confident using it. I would definitely suggest buying this particular model.
I am 6’3" and 220#, this works great
I have had the Power Tower over a year and it works great. It is designed to go against a wall so it takes up very little room, which is perfect for me. Having all the exercise stations on the same side is not an issue. Most of the negative reviews come from the fact you need to do the exercises facing AWAY from the pad, if you are facing the back rest you will hit your head doing dips and the machine will be less stable. The pull up bar is very sturdy and slides into a slot so there is no way it could every come off in use. If you have very narrow shoulders the dip station may be more difficult, but this is a standard width unless you want to spend three times the $ for something adjustable. I highly recommend.
Good value, improved welding, and easy to build
It looks like the manufacturer read the negative reviews and paid attention. The parts were neatly packaged and the bolts, nuts, and washers were sealed by part number on cardboard backing. The welding appears to be stronger and thicker on the dip bars. I used a box cutter to trim around the pieces so that I could easily reference the pieces needed per build stage. Overall, it took me about two hours to build using two wrenches and a phillips screwdriver. Once built, it looks nice and feels sturdy when doing pull ups, except for the fact my torso rubs against the backrest. The dip bars require extra firm tightening because they will wobble left and right about an inch otherwise. I love having this in my office for a quick energy burst. Doing 10 pull ups gives me more pep than a cup of coffee.
Well worth the price
I bought this VKR equipment months ago and it sat in my garage boxed up until about a couple of weeks ago. It was the strangest thing (or maybe not); late summer last year I was working out and I wanted some new equipment to vary my workouts so I bought the PT600. Because I’m an Amazon Prime Member the shipping was free so that was an added bonus (Prime Membership paid for itself right there). Well, once I got the equipment I didn’t feel like putting it together. I think I lost some steam in my enthusiasm or maybe because the garage was a mess and I had no good place to put it, but whatever the reason it just sat in the box.
I like this tower
I like this stand. Although, I have had to make some slight tweaks so that it does not rock when I do my pull ups.
POWER TOWER a TRUE DELIGHT
The Power Tower arrived in a banged up box. The contents were undamaged. The unit took about one hour to assemble. I have used the unit everyday for several weeks now and it is wonderful. It sits in the corner of the living room and everyone in the family is using it. I would recommend a better box for shipping to insure that units continue to arrive undamaged. A package of bolts were open and various bolts were laying about inside the box, eventually all bolts were accounted for.
