Anyone who does push-ups needs these
I’ve been doing daily push-ups for years. I started noticing that I would wake up in the mornings with a lack of good circulation to my hands. This obviously worried me and I sought out the advice of my massage/physical therapist.
A little cheap but OK enough
I don’t recall if it was a special deal but I have seen that the price of these has gone up since I purchsed them at $5.00. My 4-star rating is based on that purchase price, otherwise I would probably reduce it by one star. The quality of the construction is just OK. The metal tubing is fine quality but the plastic wing nuts seem to get a little loose over time. The bumpers that rest on the floor are a pretty hard plastic and tend to slip a little bit on hard surfaces. Had they used rubber or silicone that would have been a better solution.
No problem with weight limit
These work perfect for me
Going to the gym is such a hassle. Sometimes a quick chest workout is sufficient but regular pushups don’t seem to hit the muscles properly. Sometimes wrists even start to act up.
"Sturdy, Familiarity and Reasonably Priced Won my Money"…
I believe these are essentially identical to the ones I owned for many, many years minus a brand name which was printed on the foam (as I recall). They were an excellent product for a modest cost. I endured a pec belly muscle tear and as a result I donated my old pair to Goodwill since I thought I likely would never be able to utilize them again. Of course through intensive therapy and 2.5 years, I ended up needing them again to do “modified push-ups”. This product looks and works almost exactly as my previous pair did. The only con of this version is that the foam hand grips are a pretty soft foam and chrome is a pretty slippery metal. As a result the foam constantly wants to slip down the sloped metal portions of these bars. Thus, you will need to keep adjusting them between sets. Fortunately, the majority of the time they stay in place “enough” for you to complete a set of 20-25 reps or so.
Works Great, Perfect for P90x
These are easy to put together, I don’t know why some people say its hard to or its upside down or something. I had no problem. Just fit them in and tighten the screws, there you have it.
Good grip, takes stress off wrists
I have some arthritis in my wrists and fingers so I can’t really do push ups with good form anymore without something like this. It allows for an easy grip for varied muscle focus, is easy to assemble/disassemble, good traction/grip against the floor and well priced for how long I expect them to endure.
Saving my wrists
I recently started working out again after having a baby. 9 months of pregnancy and 3-4 months postpartum recovery left me pretty out of shape. When I starting trying to do push-ups (sadly, on my knees), it hurt my wrists so bad I had to stop. These push up bars are relatively inexpensive and yet they completely solve the problem. I am able to do (some) push ups without any wrist pain whatsoever. They also allow you to dip lower than you could on the floor. I was concerned about their stability, but after using them I am convinced they will not budge. I did see these at a local sporting goods store for about the same price as amazon. I am happy with the purchase and highly recommend.
Inexpensive addition to your home exercise routine!
These were exactly what I expected them to be. For around $13 these are an excellent addition to your basic home exercise equipment. I wont go into too much detail on their usage. They are push up bars! I think that is pretty self explanatory! I will say that using the bars correctly does add a wider ranger of motion than a standard push up. That is the primary reason for using these in my opinion.
Light-Weight Push Up Bars
These are light-weight Push Up Bars. I personally prefer the rotating perfect push-up-style push-up assisters. However, for this I was just looking for bars that would let me do push-ups without touching the floor. These do that.
