This was overall very easy to put together. You def want to get another person to help you and it only comes with an Allen wrench so it behooves you to get another clip wrench to anchor it. Otherwise you won’t be able to tighten the screws adequately.
Easy to put together, simple design.
Perfect size for what I needed! Easy to put together, simple design.
as this seems like if I would have hadboth a left and a …
While the product is not the issue here, it is the 2nd CAP item I have purchased and had issues with the parts in the box. – Called company and they did offer to send me the part that I needed, but I could not wait, I needed to finish the room. So 4 Stars, as this seems like if I would have hadboth a left and a right side, it would have been sturdy. Two lefts dont make it right. (in this particular box there was a 3rd upright that did not seem to fit anywhere, much larger than the other 2. Possible return from previous purchaser? IDK. I will keep trying as I have found CAP does make quality items, and their customer service is amazing.
20 Inch model is nice, but a tad too small.
I bought the 20 inch model because the price on the larger one is like triple the price. That means it is 20 inches from left to right. The height on both models I assume is the same. 20 inches is not very wide for heavy weights such as 50+ pounds, so you’ll only fit 3 heavy dumbbells on this. It still makes an nice inexpensive way to keep the weights from taking up a lot of space on the floor since you can stack the 4th weight on top of one of the other weights if you have the rubber hex weights as shown in the photo. This thing is VERY sturdy, and should not tip over even when top heavy since the “feet” are so long. I was a little disappointed in how stubby this thing is since the photo of the 20 inch model wasn’t showing and I convinced myself it would hold the 4 advertised weights across from left to right. I’ll post a photo of what it looks like with 3 heavy weights so you strong guys can see how well it will fair with your big weights. Happy lifting!
Good value for the $
Just what I was looking for. Now I have two, and total cost was cheaper than the larger racks that would have held the same amount of weights. I also have the latitude to move/arrange them independantly in the exercise room. My first rack holds 4 pair of hex dumbbells, 10, 15, 20, and 25. That’s all that will fit, and they fit perfectly. This second rack holds my wife’s sets of hex pairs, 2, 3, 5, 8, and 12; and if she wanted her own 10’s, they would fit too. If I moved my 10’s or 15’s to her rack, I could probably fit the 30’s on my rack (but that is just eye-balling it, I don’t know that for fact yet). If you wanted a big heavy duty gym quality rack, or a rack that will hold the larger weights, e.g. 35# and up, this is probably not the rack for you. If you want a sturdy, compact rack, at an affordable price, this is perfect. Like one of the other reviewers mentioned, I do recommend you turn the bolts inside out so the threaded ends don’t hit the weights.
Worth the money!
Easy to assemble, I have pairs from 45lbs through 5lbs on it handles it easily. Packaging was mangled by UPS but product was just fine.
Very solid and stable rack

Very solid rack, looks decent for the price and is very stable, I have 2 x 45lbs and 2 x 25lbs dumbbells and it holds them great.
awesome, this rack is large enough for around 550 lbs and is plenty strong enough.
A small neat rack

Well made. This is not a heavy duty rack, but it is a solid home-use place to store 4 20lb to 10lb dumbells at most. Look carefully at the measurements and size. If you want a neat small rack, this is perfect for a small home gym. This is not made for a work out gym style standing rack. This is a nice clean looking rack to store dumbells, but I do just fine standing in front of it and switching weights. Just remember it’s knee-high. I am glad I purchased it for my small workout room. No more stubbing my toes walking around my workout area.
