Overall great vest for work outs.

This vest is Great! It works perfectly for pull ups, push-ups, lunges, etc. You will also look awesome wearing it. I wear it for almost every work out now and the materials and construction of the vest is of good quality. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I wish I could run with it on. I went for a 2.5 mile jog and it tore me up in a couple spots where it was rubbing.
Awesome price- Great fitting vest- fits even a petite female

I am a 5’5 115lb female and I bought this vest specifically because it has dual velcro straps that I was hoping would attach the vest snugly to my body so it wouldn’t bounce around too much- and it fits! I’ve also had my 5’10 210lb friend who has the physique of a bodybuilder wear it and it fits him too so I would say its a very versatile fit. When I first took it out of the box the sandbags had a very strange smell but it seems to have dissipated. Generally I am quite impressed. It doesn’t seem to rub (and I wear it with tank tops), the material is easy to wipe down after a gross workout and it definitely makes any workout exponential more difficult. I would absolutely recommend.

Perfect weight and fit. I actually took 4 of the sand weights out and it’s just right. It feels just as heavy as if I was wearing my fire gear and SCBA. I plan on ordering the pads soon.

I made sure to buy my son the exact weight belt that his friend has and he loves it. He is a thin young man and needs the extra weight when he is relying on body weight to do exercises like pull ups and push ups. He says it is comfortable and easy to adjust the weight.
One of the more stable running vests in the market

This vest is made of tough materials and seems to handle the weight very nicely.
Great way to increase your workout diversity & turn normal activities into a workout

This thing is great…I was looking for something to expand my workout regimen, and since I’m usually pressed for time, a way to convert my dog walks into a workout too. This really works and will wear you out on a 4 mile walk. Good way to keep your heart in the “fat-burning” zone, and increase your endurance. I haven’t tried to run with it (and probably won’t)…too many miles on the chassis already. I’ve taken some grief from the wife and daughter for looking like a suicide bomber, but the neighbors haven’t commented (to my face anyway).
but there is some vertical motion if you try something like jumping or running

Is what it is – a 40 lb bunch of weights in a vest. The weights are cylindrical and are filled with a dense granular material. This allows them to conform to the wearer’s shape somewhat, avoiding pressure points to a degree. The belt holds the thing snugly as far as twisting or horizontal motion with respect to the torso of the wearer, but there is some vertical motion if you try something like jumping or running. Personally, I can see (and plan to do) some staircase running with this thing, but if you think you can turn yourself into a monster by doing your normal 5-mile run with this on, you may wind up with chafed shoulders. This is to be expected, and not the fault of the product, but I suspect some folks will be thinking about this use case.
Great piece of equipment for weight training

Awesome vest! Many people don’t understand the idea of a 45lb weight vest. This is NOT for running! This is for adding load to your body weight for weight training. Adding 45 lbs to your body and then running with it could easily do much more harm than good. If you use this vest properly it is a great way to increase body weight for many exercises including pushups, lunges, squats, pullups, even walking. I can take this vest, go to the park and get a great workout in with just one piece of equipment. Fits myself (180lbs) and my friend (240lbs) with no problems. Highly recommended.

Compared to other weighted vests I’ve tried, this one is very comfortable and closes snugly. Mobility is excellent. Makes housework super fun. Makes walks with the kids even more fun. Makes dinner taste very good indeed.
Just got it. seems ok, but much bulkier than on the picture. will update in a month or two./ A month later update: great for walking and pullups, If you 5.7-5.8 or shorter and intend to use it for push ups, you could feel that the vest weight distribution little bit lower than should be in order to fully engage your chest and hands muscles. Otherwise, a very good quality, I use it everyday. For that price? I changing my 4 stars to 5.
