Get a better grip. Building on the original Gripmaster, the Pro edition takes hand exercising up to the next level, offering athletes, rock climbers, and weightlifters a solution for reaching peak performance. Focusing on the individual aspects of the hand, fingers, and wrist, it gives you a pocket-sized approach for improving flexibility and strength and lessening injuries. Unlike traditional V-grip methods, its spring-loaded pistons isolate each finger, thus reducing strain, imbalance, and forearm exertion.

These are too big for me and the rubber is too sparse to provide cushioning when using

I am having a lot of trouble with my hands after carpal tunnel surgery and one of many things I need to do is strengthen my hands and fingers. The occupational therapist has the standard Gripmaster exercisers. After purchasing all of them (1.5 pounds to 9 pounds) and using them, I decided to buy these for future use. –
OMG Fitness equipment that works better than advertised!

Truly the best exercise/device I have ever used to hands or forearms. *Now keep in mind it was quick for me to figure out that using this as a single finger at a time device both feels terrible and um doesn’t work at all for ring and pinky fingers; however when using it properly as a FULL HAND GRIP machine its amazing! I can’t speak to those who have had theirs break, since I bought my heavy tension (black) I have probably cranked out a couple of hundred reps a day while watching TV, walking on a tread mill, or even while driving because why not let that anger at a stop light go to work for you lol. Do Note though my experience has seen a sharp increase in the squeakiness and overall loudness of the device, which I haven’t tried to “fix” with WD40 yet and don;t thin I will try. Also I experienced the perception of a loss of tension after heavy use, but I now believe that is more likely due to actual increased grip strength, crazy right? And no I don’t think I am an amazing he-man of a man, I have honestly never had success in many other grip devices over the years, honestly before I got this I didn’t believe any of them worked, but man do these do wonders.

This is an amazing product, I started out using the light version a few years ago, and now I have upgraded my way to the heavy version. This is about 10X better than the non-pro version of the gripmaster, it fits the palm better, has more even resistance, and most importantly, isnt squeaky and annoying. I started using these to build up my grip strength for weightlifting since most weights I was lifting fatigued my forearms and fingers faster than the muscle I would be training. Now, I don’t have that issue anymore, in fact, my forearms and hands are probably the most developed and rock solid muscles I have on my body. This thing seriously works, and fast. There are also some programs you can look up on the internet to find different ways to train individual muscles in your forearms and hands. This works great before workouts to get your hands ready for stabilizing heavy weight, and I even use it like a stress ball sometimes. I usually throw it in my pocket and use it on long drives or bored in the waiting room or something like that. Hands down probably one of my favorite amazon purchases, amazing price and quality for how much use it gets. don’t second guess yourself, just buy one already.
Easy & effective

I bought this primarily to help with my grip and finger strength for shooting pistols. However, I usually don’t grip it in my palm. I put it between all my fingers and my thumb and squeeze it in a sort of pinching motion, so I can develop the index finger and thumb strength needed to rack back stubborn slides, as well as improving my all-around grip strength on the weapon. (The directions do show a two-finger pinch using just the end of the exerciser and I use that method too.) What I like about this style of hand strengthener is that it forces ALL your fingers to work instead of relying on just the strongest ones to do the lion’s share of the work. It’s definitely working, especially for my non-dominant hand, and in a surprisingly short period of time, which is why I need to move up in weight already. It’s simple, effective, and quite portable. I use it at work as well as home because it’s easy to just pick it up when you have a spare moment or two and start exercising.

Bought this to improve my hand grip for Bowling and shooting. Index and middle finger was very easy, but difficult for my ring finger and super difficult for my pinky finger. After 2x weeks using this daily, my weak ring and pinky fingers are stronger. I have already upgraded to the red Prohands, 7 lbs. I like the hard rubber that the finger tips squeeze and the palm swell. It add a bit of cushion and comfort when exercising the fingers.
