I started this workout routine in June I weighed 215. Now 5 months later I weigh 172 and still losing! It’s an awesome set of DVD’s I really enjoy them.
There’s hope for the rhythmically challenged!
Nice and slow for a person like me. He takes the time to make sure you get the moves before continuing to the next step. I have no rhythm yet I did this and really enjoyed it and have hope that I will learn something in the process.
I thought I would give this work out a try. I really don’t enjoy the traditional on the floor ab workouts. I bought this workout and the T25 workout. This is my first Shaun T workouts. I did a 45 min turbofire workout and thought I would try my new hip hop abs workout. I started and it was a 30min workout. “Oh man, I don’t want a long workout I just did 45mins” -well, It was a BLAST and the 30 mins flew by. Can’t wait to do it again.

Love Love Love Shaun T. He is my go-to, if I want a fun, upbeat workout. His attitude in this video is fun and I enjoy him everytime. I even got my husband to get up and workout with me! And he does not DO workout videos – he’s a more GYM/weights type of guy. But he heard the music and how me and my teen daughter were sweating but laughing, that it made him just wanna try it one morning. Lord, if you saw him, he was huffing and puffing but laughing all at the same time. LOL! If you haven’t tried this yet… TRY IT! You won’t regret it. LOVE YOU SHAUN T! You don’t play when it comes to exercise – but thank you for making me sweat so hard. Thats the thing about these workouts, there super hard, “but funny how time fly’s when your having fun!”
Great for Ab Seperation after Baby
I love this workout program. I’m 32 and have had 3 kids and have ab seperation and that pregnancy belly ring of fat. I’ve found this workout helps me build those core muscles back without making the seperation worse. Within a week I’ve already seen a huge improvement and weight loss. I’m average size at 144 lbs 5’8 so I don’t have a lot to lose so to see results quickly was surprising. Plus it’s fun and my kids try to join in.
Shaun T is funny!
I mean that in a humorous way…really! I am an Insanity grad and P90x grad so I am familiar with the Beachbody workouts. HHA is different in that most of the moves are super easy, very cheesy, but still work your abs and core! I love Shaun T’s approach. He is VERY different from his persona in Insanity (just a heads up). The dance moves are corny for sure and won’t net you any ladies or gents at the club, but while you’re working and grooving in the comfortable privacy of your home (hopefully) you are getting results. I have not done the 30 days or whatever straight through because I like to mix up my workouts. However, I pop one of the discs in on an “Ab Day” and finish up with Ab Ripper X (from P90x). The combination is killer! I did this last night and I’m still sore. I would definitely recommend this set as a kickstarter for those who don’t workout much, or a maintenance, routine workout.

It’s a great product. I like it because it plans your workouts and you start out with 30 minutes workouts the next week you have 4-55 minute workouts and on weeks 3 and 4 you have all 45-55 minute workouts. I like this because it lets you work up to working out for 55 minutes and if you are not ready you can change it up to fit your schedule so that every other day is a 55 minute workout and you will still get a complete workout. But with anything, you have to do it and be dedicated to it. That is exactly what I plan to do, although I think it is going to take a momemt to master all the moves but in continuing to try, I already feel like I am making progress. Last week I felt I couldn’t exercise more that 15 minutes without getting tired, but after watching Hip Hop Abs and breathing the way Shaun T said, I did my first Fat Burning Cardio and it felt good and I can already see a difference in my abs. If you want to feel energetic, like Nike says, “Just do it!”
Not only fun but has helped relieve hip and low back pain through movement
So I have been living with the pain of sacrolitis, hip bursitis, lumbar/sacral disc degeneration, and arthritis of that whole area. Now I am only 35 so I am not really not that old to have these issues. So I did a couple months of physical therapy, but due to work I had to stop, and I thought I need to find something that works the core and moves all those joints as that’s what my therapy has consisted of. This is where my journey with hip hop abs started….
