I have been using kettle bells in the FitRanx program I was doing for several years. I recently had to move so no longer had that class to attend. But wanted to continue with most of the same exercises so I searched for where to get a good quality kettle bell at an affordable price. I found these from Day 1 Fitness and they seemed like a good fit. So far they definitely have been. They arrived in good condition… the bell itself was bubble wrapped so no scratches or dings. And with the vinyl coating, I don’t worry about them getting banged around in my home gym and they also don’t make as much noise as other kettle bells do when you touch the ground with them during exercises because of that coating. I have been using them 3-4 times per week and they certainly hold up to the workouts and banging around. I also find that the handles are the perfect size for me. I do a lot of alternating hands and works great… never fear dropping or losing control of the bell. Now that I have found a great kettle bell I plan to order a few more in different weights. A great exercise tool for the money!

YUP!!!! I bought a few Day 1 fitness products in the past for my Physical Therapy clinic in the past. I was very pleased so went ahead and bought a couple different weights of the kettle bells (sorry Mr. postman). KBs are great for a lot of strengthening, power, dynamic, plyometric, and functional exercises. Way more involved (and fun in my opinion) than just a traditional dumbbell or machine weight. Besides the price I particular like this product for the vinyl coating. The vinyl wraps all the way from the handle to around the bottom seamlessly so it seems more durable (KBs I’ve had in the past the vinyl didn’t cover the bottom so edges would easily fray/peel off). The color scheme makes it very easy to identify which weight is what (no more fumbling around trying to read faded cast iron numbers). Vinyl keeps it from clanking around on other KBs or the floor (no more end of day head aches for me!!). But most importantly, the vinyl gives a allows for a firm grip around the circumference of the KB itself. Unlike the old cast iron KBs, this product opens up a whole new world of exercises where I can have patients grip the actual ball portion.

A heavy thing with a handle

If you’re looking for something heavy with a handle to hold on to, look no further! You can lift it, drag it, swing it, and even toss it if you are so inclined. Does it weigh exactly what it says? It kinda feels right to me, but I’m not gonna take the time to weigh it on a scale. I saw a complaint that the coating on someone’s kettlebell was poor quality. Well, mine looked good when I got it, and I’ve picked this kettlebell up and set it back down quite a few times in an effort to make myself less fat. The coating still looks good, and I am slightly less fat! Go ahead, click the buy button. I’m not gonna promise you’ll look any less fat after owning this, but hey, if you don’t like working out, this makes a great paperweight!

Nicest kettlebell I’ve seen.

Too much Vinyl

The kettle bell arrived undamaged and on time. My only complaint is the Vinyl coating goes too far up the horns. This makes it hard to grip the handle for certain exercises like the “Goblet Squat” and the “Kettle Bell Halo”. I was able to trim the vinyl back using a razor knife. Also, it would be nice if this company made it is sizes heavier than 50 lbs.
