Women With Big Feet

If you’re a woman with big feet (and I’m not considering a 10B as ‘big feet’), then get a pair of these, right now. I spent my later teens through early adulthood wearing men’s sneakers because it was almost impossible to find women’s shoes in my size (12W). I went to an orthopaedic surgeon regarding my feet and asked if it made a difference on whether I wore men’s or women’s sneakers and he said it most certainly did! He recommended New Balance women’s walking shoes, which I have tried to purchase since then (alternating with Asics when I couldn’t find NB, a brand my podiatrist recommended). My old NB walking shoes had worn down so much that I got a nasty case of plantar fasciitis earlier in March which wasn’t resolving no matter what I wore (eg, Dr. Martens oxfords with great heel and arch support). I saw in my research on Amazon that this style is good for that condition, plus the fact that over 1800 reviews averaged out 4.5 stars! And the price was incredible! Having worn men’s sneakers so often in the past, I opted for the pretty pink & white cuz they’re girlie looking. The shorter toe box gives the illusion that they’re smaller thank they are, too. The instant I put them on my plantar fasciitis was already feeling better. I walked around the patio to test them out and was almost up to my usual walking speed without favoring my sore foot. I’m hoping to have these for some time to come. Based on how they feel and how inexpensive they are (for large women’s New Balance), I may buy a couple more pairs to have waiting in the wings. You definitely want these “trainers”!
Feels Like an Old Friend!

I have been wearing NB 608 shoes for years, ever since a Podiatrist told me they were the ones I should wear for my problem feet. I could not find the 608s anywhere, so I assume they aren’t making them anymore. I bought the 608V4, hoping they would be the same. They aren’t – they are better! Put them on, wore them all day at my volunteer job as museum docent, up and down stairs, lots of walking. They felt like I’d been wearing them forever. Extremely comfortable and very attractive. The heel is a little different from the 608s I had been wearing, and I actually like the feel of it better. Arch support is great. The wide width is just perfect and the size is very true for me. I will be ordering another pair in another color so I can switch out. Highly recommend these.
Love the fit, comfort, support and material!

Always loved the NB 608 fit for outdoor activities. This version did not disappoint. Good arch and heel support, great toe fit and good comfort. Size was perfect–same fit as white shoes.
Great for Custom Orthotics

I have had both feet broken and I have very narrow heels, so finding a good fit is a challenge for me. It is hard finding athletic shoes that come in an A width, but these do! I have spent $250 on a good athletic shoe that were not as comfortable as these. I wear custom orthotics arch supports and can remove the insole to insert my own arch supports. I do have to use a thin Dr. Scholls insole over the orthotics and cannot use the insole that came with the shoe with my orthotics, but the shoes work well with my orthotics, which is often a challenge. The insole that comes with the shoes seem to have a decent arch support. I will be buying these again.

I can’t believe these shoes were only $48.10. Must have been an overstock because I went back to buy a second pair in a different color and they were as much as $69.95. The cheapest in another color, that came in my size (8 1/2), were $56.00. So I feel like not only did I get a great deal, I also really love this shoe. I workout with a personal trainer, and I like this fit and this sole better than the 623 which I used to wear – these are much more sturdy for working out with weights. I highly recommend them. In fact, I love them so much I bought a second pair – same color because of the price – and I’ll just rotate them and they’ll last a lot longer. Thanks New Balance!
