It has been comfortable in all these situations

I was looking for a vest that fit well and sat well. The weight is balanced well throughout the vest and the wide velcro strap helsp hold it in place. I have used this on walks around the neighborhood, short hikes, walking up and down 7 flights of stairs and workout videos. It has been comfortable in all these situations. The visibility strips are great as is the light padding on the shoulders. I believe there is a 40 lb. vest as well. I thought the 20 lb. would be all I needed. But after having this for awhile I think it would’ve been good to have the opportunity to add more later on so maybe think about that when deciding which weight to get. But overall I really love this vest and have found this to be a good design for me. I am 5’4″ and have found it not to be too long.
great weight vest

I have only had this a few days and I love it! I am 5’4″ with a short torso and 36b chest and small frame. This fits snug enough and seems pretty comfortable. It seems to be the right length and does not fall past my hips. It has some great reflective material and features. The only complaint is that the neckline is rather big, but I just re-position it so the bulk of the weight sits more on my chest than my stomach before I fasten the velcro and it seems fine. I am only using this to augment training for a thru-hike- so I’m using it when I walk the dog, use the stairmaster, walk around the campus where I work etc. I don’t know that I will do any running or other strength workouts with it and I do wonder if it would be comfortable for either due to the way it fits around the neck and shoulder openings. Before I got this, I was using my fiancee’s weight vest from another brand. It was similar in design but it was way too bulky, so I was thrilled with how this one fit.
Great Vest, Helpful for CPAT Training
I purchased this to help in my training for the CPAT, a firefighter fitness test. Previous vests I have tried have not fit me well (I’m a female, 5’8″) but this one cinches up nicely. I do not run in it, but I do stairs and elliptical with it and have no problems. Given the nature of the training I’m doing, I also sometimes simply wear it “around the house” to get my body accustomed to the added weight. The Velcro is staying strong so far, which I noticed from reviews of different vests was sometimes a weak point. If I notice any problems with it I will come back and add an amendment, but so far I love it. I only wish it came in 50 pounds as that is the actual amount I will have to wear for most of the test!
Would buy another one for myself!
Great addition to our daily workout routine. Easily adjustable for weight adjustments between spouse and myself. Can be worn underneath a hoodie while working out or above a t-shirt. Easy to wear for both myself and my husband. We alternate wearing the vest whilst working out. We even wear it when we go play outdoor for added resistance to our workouts.
very comfy and great vest!
Actually very comfy and the weights are well placed. i can walk around with this on under a loose jacket without it looking too crazy or feeling too bulky. sweat runs off pretty well and it wipes clean easily.
Easy to use, reliable, good price.

Good vest, fairly high quality. The pouches are easily inserted/removed. 40 little pouches, each weigh about a pound, so the math is quick. I use it when I’m doing cardio, pushups, pullups, etc. This isn’t the best vest, but it is great for the price. I’m not a paid reviewer.
Perfect vest if you want a little extra resistance when doing plyometrics or running. Fits small women really well because you can tighten the velcro strap. I run with it and find it does not flap around at all. I also like how you can add or lessen the weight with the weight bags
40 lb Vest, Love it! No regrets here!

I love this vest!! Shipping was way fast! From Texas to Minnesota in 3 days with free shipping! About this vest. I am a petite woman 5’3 130lb. This vest does drown me yes, lets face it most of these things are geard towards men, but it does the job. I love to lift weights but am limited to using 20 lb barbell for squats ect. because that is only what I can safely lift over my head with no help. I bought this vest so that I could increase the weight using this 40 lb vest plus a 20 lb barbell. That was the main purpose for me, but I did jog with 20 lb added and the vest does jump around. I have to hold around the shoulder strap while running to keep it from bouncing on my bladder which does not feel great. I could not go long distance that is for sure. But it does work the lower body. You could walk with it no problem. I will also wear this around the house to do chores. If you are a woman and thinking of getting the 20 lb vest, I would encourage you to get the 40 lb. It seems like it would be a lot but it really does not feel that heavy when wearing it. The vest comes with no weight in it so you can add any amount you want. Each sand bag is 0.88 lbs up to 40 lb. It takes some time to put them in. Also I took the weights off the very bottom in the front because when doing squats I can’t go as deep as they get in the way. It hangs down to far for me. All and all, I am glad I bought this and I can really feel the extra burn when using it. This is just what I needed to help build and shape my lower half. Burn Baby Burn!!
I am 5′ 7" and it is fine if I am walking but once i attempt to …
It’s designed for people that are about 5′ 10″ or taller. I am 5′ 7″ and it is fine if I am walking but once i attempt to jog, it becomes a problem because the bottom 3 inches (below the velcro strap) is past my waist line so it tryies to fold as my legs swing in an upward motion. It is just fine for those that want to use it walking but if you intend to do steep climbs or past a jog, this may become an issue.
