Grip strength and Habit-breaking
I really like these things. I wanted to improve my grip strength and feel like these are helping. I’m also using these to try to overcome a habit of picking at hangnails and cracking my knuckles. Having one of these in my hand serves both purposes by giving me exercise and distracting me from the habitual urges. I put one in my bag to take along with me and keep the other two on the desk at home.
Excellent quality, size, and variety of firmnesses make the eggs a great value
Good size — roughly the size of a real large egg; fit nicely in my palm. I was worried it might be a little small, but it’s a good size — not too small, not too big. As for firmness, between the three eggs, I suspect everyone will have the “right” level of resistance.
Excellent product in the egg-shaped makes all the difference.
I suffer from severe hand and finger cramps. Squeezing a tennis ball and a baseball are good relief but, what I like most about these is the egg shape. It makes them have a more natural while small enough to take with you. I wish they could be purchased individually by strengths instead of all three. I would buy three more of the firmest and keep one in the car , one in the house and one to throw in my pocket or bag to travel with me. The lightest of all of them seems to be a little too soft and Squishy for my grip. I prefer the firmest of them. And for the price it was a very good value. In fact it was a great value with the relief I’ve had so far. I would also highly recommend if you tend to be difficult to draw blood from and you have to have blood work done to take one of the firmer ones with you to squeeze while they draw the blood. I found that I’m very difficult to find a good vein and when they do they say it tends to jump and I think it has to do with me tightening my grip. So now I squeeze it and hold it firm until they get it in so far they’ve been able to get it on the first first time. There are many of these type of exercise balls out there but, like I said what I absolutely love the most is the egg shape. It makes all the difference and I would highly recommend
High quality and a great gift idea!
Purpose: I got this as a gift for an elderly women who has diabetes and needs motivation to exercise. Hoping this can be a fun tool.
Very Happy With My New Eggs!
These eggs are truly great! This is the secind “Freindly Swede” product I have purchased; the other was a stylus pen. I truly appreciate their quality control; few companies today care as much about quality control.
Giant Gummis for Your Hand!
I absolutely love these eggs. They’re made of thermoplastic rubber. In Swedish, it translates to gummi, yeah like gummi bears. Actually the feel is akin to a giant gummi bear. There are three densities, and going with an admittedly lame comparison, the yellow is like a giant soft, fresh gummi, the red is like firmer ones from Hariboro, and the blue is a giant, stale gummi. I know someone said the last two were the firmness of a lemon, and the blue, like a tennis ball. I found even the firmest one had more give than that. But descriptions of firmness are difficult to describe.
Unique and fun stress ball if you have big hands. Be mindful of pets.
I have big hands and wanted a stress ball that felt good. These fit the bill. I especially love the different ‘strengths’ of each one, and I find myself actively seeking out a particular color depending on my mood.
Great after surgery
My husband recently had elbow surgery, and his physical therapist recommended getting a stress ball to squeeze throughout the day as part of his recovery process. I found these grip balls and thought they would be even better for him than a basic stress ball. The shape of these are great- the egg shape fits more naturally in the hand than a round shape. I like that the set includes three different “levels” of resistance. My husband is currently on the middle level (green) ball, and using it seems to be helping him a lot. They could be a little “grippier” – they are slick and easy to drop, but besides that, they are great and I recommend them to anyone that is in the market for a product like this.
Cute and very functional for rehab and hand strengthening
I got these for my grandmother who is going through a rather profound rehabilitation. She has arthritis in her hands but also needed to rebuild her hand strength. These have been wonderful. I purchased these because they have 3 different densities allowing for more flexibility for her. On her weaker hand she uses the softest one (yellow) and the middle one on her other hand (red). She also has a goal of working up to the blue. The shape of these is perfect and so is the size. It’s easy for her to avoid using her thumb on bad arthritis days. She has also received endless compliments on these. Really it’s kind of astounding. Her nurses, CNA’s, and mostly importantly, her therapists ( physical and occupational ) have been big fans. The only issue I have is keeping them clean. Not because they hold dirt but because everyone wants to touch them! They have a very inviting design. I use them when I sit with her and am debating on getting a set for myself. The packaging was also very nice. Clean design and if I had a reason I wouldn’t hesitate to give as a gift.
Surprisingly good grip strengthener and stress ball in one
I have decent grip strength, but the grip exercisers I used in my 20s aren’t right for my hands 40 years later. These eggs are great. They’re sort of a hybrid of grip exercisers and stress balls. Enough resistance to strengthen your grip, but loose enough to feel like you’re just sort of playing with them. The size is perfect for my hands, and the shape is surprisingly ergonomic — I wouldn’t have guessed it a priori, but the egg shape is a lot better than a round ball. The yellow ball is too soft for me, but the combo pack of three makes it likely that you’ll have two that provide the resistance you’re looking for. These eggs are a great way to strengthen your grip, and work off nervous energy, both at the same time and without thinking about it. Great product.
