Great barefoot shoe

 on March 13, 2016
By M. Ahrens
These are just what the doctor ordered. I already have some earth shoes and a fellow runner who’s a doc told me arthritis in my knee would go away with these minimalist shoes. I didn’t believe it. The other earth shoes kinda felt barefoot and allowed toe flex, but these indeed feel like barefoot. Took just a little bit to get used to the feeling of stuff between your toes. Kinda like the feeling when you are on wet sand like at the beach. I can feel almost everything. So you can bruise your sole on a rock. But that’s what I wanted. Just enough protection to not get cut. They dry out fast if wet. I trek on the beach, a gravel/dirt road, and occasional rocks/dry coral. They don’t stink yet. I am always getting them wet in saltwater. I west 11/wide and the 45 was a perfect glove fit. I chose grey/black so they don’t look too dorky, but still I get good natured laughs. I just laugh along with them. Works for me

Best all-around Vibram so far?

I’ve been wearing nothing but Vibram Five Finger shoes for about 5 years now (since back when people asked me if I was wearing some kind of weird water shoes), and have had at some point or another the majority of the entire men’s line. That being said, these are possibly my new favorite. For me, the most important factor is being as minimal as possible without going entirely barefoot and having to worry about scraping up my feet on glass, sharp rocks, etc.

Good, But The Original May Be Better

I’ll start by admitting that I’ve owned eleven pairs of VFF’s since 2011. That may make me sound like a fanatic, but I’m really not. I’ve bought several models and used them for everything from water sports to hiking to running. Some I’ve really liked, some not so much.

Give yourself an edge on Leg Day!

 on April 2, 2016

I purchased these shoes primarily to use on leg day at the gym. I did not feel like I was very stable in my tennis shoes, and the few times I had tried barefoot squats and deadlifts, my form improved. These things absolutely replicate the barefoot feeling, and have excellent grip on every surface you will encounter at a gym. My squat form has drastically improved, and along with it the weight I am able to rep because I am involving more muscles by doing them “barefoot”

I went to a local store that carried the KSO EVO and tried on a pair. They only had a size 44 euro in stock, I wear a 9/9.5 in sneakers, and the 44 was way too big. That equals out to be a 10.5/11. After reading reviews on this model Vibram I decided to go up a size / size and a half. I ordered a 42 euro which is a 9.5/10 And really was nervous if they were going to fit. They showed up today and I immediately put them on, I was pleasantly surprised when it was a perfect fit. I’d say I have a medium to wide foot and a normal arch and the KSO EVO feels great, they are slightly snug which is perfect since they will break in and loosen up. I am G oing tubing this weekend and can’t wait to wear them on the hike to the river and even in the water. So all in all a well made product and I recommend going up at least a half a size or more for this model.

No regrets on this purchase.

Big fan of these. They will destroy your calves the first few times, so work up to your normal run.

I’m very happy, just the item that I expected

I’m from Colombia and in my country is a little bit difficult to find this type of shoes. I’m very happy, just the items that I expected in my actually situation.
